The result of running the AnnoDomini type checker on a sample program. The program contained no syntax errors, no annotation errors, eight type suggestions, five type errors and seven Year 2000 warnings. The user has expanded the first of the type errors, which says that there is an assignment mismatch in line 687 of the file cussales.cbl. By clicking on the error, the user causes AnnoDomini to bring up the editor, shown at the bottom right. The error message says that the sending item (FORM-HDR) is a record with a long type which contains a two-digit year (WW) and a four-digit year (YYYY), while the receiving identifier (PRT-LINE) consists of non-years only. AnnoDomini suggests four corrective actions for the problem.
